LV.01 Process

How it works.

  1. 01

Drop a text-based PDF (or paste text, or use a sample).

  2. 02

We find sentences that define a term — “X is the process by which…” — and turn them into fill-in-the-blank questions.

  3. 03

Wrong options are other key terms from the same document, so they're plausible, not silly.

  4. 04

Answer ten questions, see your score, then reshuffle for a new set.

LV.02 Why

Why play your notes?

Retrieval beats re-reading

Trying to recall an answer — even getting it wrong — strengthens memory more than reading the same page again. A quiz forces recall.

Questions from your source

Every question quotes your document, so you're tested on what your course actually says, not on a generic question bank.

Best for

  • Revising before an exam
  • Checking you actually read the chapter
  • Teachers drafting a quick comprehension check
LV.03 Games

Six ways to play a document.

LV.04 FAQ

Questions.

Q1How are the quiz questions generated?

Without AI. The tool finds definition-style sentences and frequent key phrases in your text, blanks out the term, and picks distractors from other key terms of similar length. That keeps it fast, private and predictable.

Q2Can I get a different set of questions?

Yes — press “New set”. If your document is long you'll see different questions each time.

Q3Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened by PDF.js inside your browser tab, the text is analysed on your device, and the game is built locally. Nothing is sent to PDFGame or anyone else, and closing the tab forgets it.

Q4Which PDFs work best?

Text-based PDFs: lecture notes, textbook chapters, articles, manuals, study guides. Scanned pages that are only images contain no text to read, so run them through OCR first. Plain .txt files and pasted text work too.

Q5Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no limit on files and no watermark. The site is supported by ads on the page, never inside the game.
