Make flashcards from a PDF in one drop.

Terms on the front, your document's own explanation on the back. Flip with a tap or the space bar, sort cards into “knew it” and “again”, and loop until the pile is empty.

LV.01 Process

How it works.

  1. 01

Drop your PDF, paste notes, or try a sample.

  2. 02

Definitions become cards first; then the most frequent key terms with a context sentence.

  3. 03

Press Space to flip, → if you knew it, ← to see it again.

  4. 04

Cards you miss come back until you've cleared the deck.

LV.02 Why

Why play your notes?

Active recall in its simplest form

Look at the term, try to say the answer, then check. That small act of retrieval is what flashcards are for.

A built-in “again” pile

Missed cards are re-queued, which gives you a basic form of spaced repetition inside a single session.

Best for

  • Vocabulary-heavy subjects: biology, law, medicine, history
  • Short daily review sessions
  • Turning a glossary into a drill
LV.03 Games

Six ways to play a document.

LV.04 FAQ

Questions.

Q1Can I export the flashcards?

You can print the full deck as a two-column sheet with the Print button.

Q2Do keyboard shortcuts work?

Space flips the card, → marks it as known, ← sends it back into the pile.

Q3Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is opened by PDF.js inside your browser tab, the text is analysed on your device, and the game is built locally. Nothing is sent to PDFGame or anyone else, and closing the tab forgets it.

Q4Which PDFs work best?

Text-based PDFs: lecture notes, textbook chapters, articles, manuals, study guides. Scanned pages that are only images contain no text to read, so run them through OCR first. Plain .txt files and pasted text work too.

Q5Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no limit on files and no watermark. The site is supported by ads on the page, never inside the game.
