Turn any PDF into a game you can play.
Drop in class notes, a textbook chapter or a manual. PDFGame reads it in your browser, finds the key terms and definitions, and turns them into six different games.

How it works.
- 01
Drop a text-based PDF, a .txt file, or paste your notes. Or try a sample.
- 02
PDF.js reads the text inside your browser tab — nothing is uploaded.
- 03
We pick out definitions (“X is…”), frequent key phrases and the sentences that use them.
- 04
Choose a game — quiz, flashcards, matching, word search, hangman or scramble — and reshuffle as often as you like.
Why play your notes?
Recall beats re-reading
Highlighting and re-reading feel productive but fade fast. Games make you pull the answer out of memory, and that effort is what makes it stick.
Built from your material
Generic quiz banks test generic knowledge. These games quote your document, so you practise exactly the words your teacher, course or manual uses.
Private by design
There is no server step. Your PDF is opened, analysed and turned into games entirely on your device, which also makes it instant.

Questions.
Q1What does “PDF to game” mean?
It means taking a document — class notes, a textbook chapter, a manual — and turning its content into something you play: a quiz, flashcards, a matching game, a word search, hangman or a word scramble. The games are built from the terms and definitions in your own file.
Q2Do I need an account or an app?
No. It's a web page. Open it, drop a file, play. It works on phones, tablets and computers.
Q3Is this the same as the PDF games like Doom PDF?
No — those are games written in JavaScript that run inside a PDF viewer. This tool reads the text of your PDF and builds study games in the web page. Both live on PDFGame because both are about making PDFs do more than sit there.
Q4Does it use AI?
No. The games are built with transparent text-analysis rules running in your browser, so it's instant, works offline after loading, and never sends your document anywhere.
Q5What languages does it support?
It works best with English. Other languages that use spaces between words and full stops at the end of sentences (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese…) work reasonably well; the word search only uses A–Z words.
Q6Which PDFs work best?
Text-based PDFs: lecture notes, textbook chapters, articles, manuals, study guides. Scanned pages that are only images contain no text to read, so run them through OCR first. Plain .txt files and pasted text work too.
Q7Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no limit on files and no watermark. The site is supported by ads on the page, never inside the game.
